A new name for Williamsville's farmer's market

A new name for Williamsville's farmer's market

If it’s farmer’s market time in Williamsville, summer is close. Tomorrow, May 22, the popular market starts its fourth year with new and returning vendors, new products, and even a new name: Market at the Mill.

You can check out the Market every Saturday from May to October 30 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine. It’s located at 56 East Spring Street at the historic Williamsville Water Mill, off Main Street near Cayuga. It’s also next to Glen Park Falls, perfect for a picturesque picnic after shopping at the Market.

Started by two locals, Lynn Schwab and Ellie Grenauer, the market has grown in size and popularity since it began. In its first year, the market had twelve vendors. This season, it will host forty-three.

Available at this year’s market will be wineries, maple products, locally grown produce, artisanal cheese and bread, plants and flowers, soap, pasta, specialty foods, natural fed beef, baked goods, and even homemade dog treats. A new vendor will offer pork products, and of course there will be fruits and vegetables.

Local music will be offered courtesy of Music at the Mill from 10 a.m. to noon. And the children’s tent returns from 10 a.m. to noon as well.

For more information, contact Grenauer at egrenauer@verizon.net.
