District of the Dead

Are you ready to let out a terror-induced ear-splitting shrill? Are you ready to be scared half to death in order to gain a new appreciation for life? Ready for that heart pounding, adrenaline-pumping thrill that you only get this time of year? Well you’re just in luck. Buffalo’s first professional haunted house is opening its doors this year.

For the past seven years the folks behind District of the Dead have ben staging succesful home hauntings, but this year they are going pro with their introduction of District of the Dead. While it may not be the largest haunted house experience available in WNY, it is entirely homegrown and is certainly the most creative. Making good use of the old Don Pablo’s building at 1951 Elmwood Ave., District of the Dead is setting up shop and offering people a chance to witness the crazy, twisted, and horrifying sites that they have worked up over the years. The building has been abandoned for nearly a decade making it the perfect scene for a haunting.

Full tilt horror takes place on weekends through October 31st and tickets are only $11 each. A portion of the profits will be donated to Women and Children’s Hospital. The Food Bank of WNY and Terror Technologies will also be there, so bring a non-perishable food item to show your support. Grab some friends, or come alone if you dare.
