Argo drew major acclaim at the Toronto International Film Festival, in fact, many are calling it a sure-fire Oscar nominee for Best Picture. The film is the real-life story of a top-secret CIA plan to free six Americans in Iran, and the film, which Affleck wrote and starred in, features a stellar cast: Bryan Cranston, John Goodman, and Alan Arkin.
Our own Jared Mobarak saw Argo at TIFF, and in his review for the Film Stage, he called it a “dramatic yet very funny tale … a captivating story of true unsung American heroes.”
This looks to be a special film. Hurry up and pounce on these tickets; if you’re too late, it opens nationwide on Friday, October 12.
