Taste of Buffalo

11 a.m.–9 p.m., Saturday, 11 a.m.–7 p.m., Sunday, July 8–9, Delaware Avenue from Chippewa to Niagara Square

Wines in the Wild 

Benefits: The Buffalo Zoo 

6–9 p.m., July 19, 300 Parkside Avenue

This popular annual event offers attendees a wide variety of food and dessert items, wines and beers, as well as live music, visits from some of your favorite animal ambassadors, and basket and silent auctions.

Spree’s 50th Anniversary Party

Celebrating the Best Of WNY

6–7 p.m. (VIP), 7–10:30 p.m., July 21, Hotel Henry Urban Resort and Conference Center, 444 Forest Avenue (Richardson Olmsted Complex) 

This ticketed event celebrates fifty years of Spree and introduces the 2017 “Best of WNY” winners. Expect dozens of food stations, wine and beer tastings, cash bar, entertainment, giveaways, a silent auction, and much more, all in the beautifully restored Hotel Henry (formerly part of H. R. Richardson’s Buffalo State Hospital). VIP ticket holders receive complimentary extras.

The Stables at Knox Memorial Cup and Champagne Brunch

July 22, 4:30 p.m.(sunset polo); July 23, 11 a.m.–2 p.m. (champagne brunch), at Chur Equestrian Center Knox Road, East Aurora

 Guests receive VIP parking and front row seats for two exciting days of polo. The polo matches include a barbecue in between matches on Saturday and a gourmet brunch on Sunday. Last year, tickets for the brunch sold out two weeks before the event. Grab a fancy derby hat and dress to impress for two full days of exciting polo, brunch catered by Oliver’s, a traditional Champagne divot stomp, and more.  The designated charity is the John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital.

Hospice Summer Affair: Hot Night in the City

Benefits: Hospice Buffalo

5:30–10:30 p.m., July 27, Buffalo RiverWorks, 359 Ganson Street

Enjoy summer revelry including cocktails, dinner, auction, raffles, photo booth, and live music. Last year, more than 500 guests enjoyed this spectacular party on the waterfront.
