Frederick Law Olmsted Gala and Afterparty

6–11 p.m., September 7, Front Park, 121 Porter Avenue

This annual celebration rotates among Buffalo’s beautiful Olmsted parks. The gala includes a champagne reception, dinner, auctions, and entertainment. Dinner and awards are scheduled for 6–9 p.m.; the afterparty includes nibbles, open bar, and DJ Milk Buffalo and is open to those who do not attend the dinner as well as dinner attendees.

Kevin Guest House Fall Fest 5K and Fun Run

Race at 4 p.m. (party follows), September 15, at Kevin Guest House Campus, 782 Ellicott Street

Bring the family to this three-mile run, walk, and fall celebration, which includes dinner from Dash’s, beer, wine, sampling from local vendors, entertainment from the Nickel City Pimp Choir, and more.

Tour de Farms 2018

Benefiting GOBike Buffalo and MAP Growing Green

9 a.m.–5 p.m., Sept. 15, check website for routes and starting points

Massachusetts Avenue Project and GOBike Buffalo co-host Tour de Farms, an event designed to celebrate healthy, sustainable transportation and local urban and rural farms. The ride begins on Buffalo’s West Side, and continues to local urban farms.
