Taste of Buffalo is dropping by

Join us at home! That’s the message from Taste of Buffalo this year, as the organizers pivot (is this word sounding familiar?) away from the traditional two-day outdoor festival, which is known for its crowds. Crowded situtations—even when they’re fun and delicious—are not on the agenda these days, so the event is taking a different form.

Called Taste of Buffalo at Home, the fest is being held July 11–12 as planned, but, this year, a “Taste Takeout” initiative is the central focus. More than half of the restaurants, food trucks, and wineries slated to participate in the original event will instead prepare special food and beverage deals available for takeout at their establishments beginning that weekend and continuing the following week, while supplies last. A full list of participants, menu items, and information on how to order will be released in coming weeks. Other initiatives include virtual food tickets that benefit FeedMore WNY and streaming presentations from chefs and musicians.
