Top five Wegmans in Buffalo/Niagara
5. Sheridan Drive
(5275 Sheridan Drive, Williamsville): A large and well-appointed store that doesn’t quite make sense, sometimes, with some random-seeming choices.
4. Transit Road in East Amherst
(8270 Transit Road, Williamsville): The restrooms here are very nice. The prepared foods section seems to shut down at about 7:30 p.m. and the Pub has all the atmosphere of drinking in an airport. But it is very large, very clean, and sells everything you could possibly want.
(651 Dick Road, Depew): As with our top Wegmans, this store seems to serve as a community crossroads, neighborhood café, and gathering spot as much as a grocery store. You might think of it as the “Gateway to Buffalo” Wegmans.
2. Ridge Road
(370 Orchard Park Road, West Seneca): Unpretentious and no nonsense, small enough to navigate with ease. Get in, get what you need, and be on your way. A Wegmans for the calm, unhurried pace of life in Western New York.
1. City of Buffalo
(601 Amherst Street, Buffalo): This location is a central part of city life for many. Like Ridge Road, it’s smaller, but all the hippie stuff, the fancy stuff, the store brand stuff: they’ve got it. While weekend mornings are not exactly quiet, you can at least find a parking spot. The liquor store on the periphery is nice, too.
