WBFO Press Pass: with Elizabeth Licata Preservation Ready/ Shopping the Demo List

July’s Preservation Ready article, "Shopping the demo list," had an interesting response. Last week, a Spree reader called me to ask if we could send a photographer to 557 East Utica to document this beautiful Victorian home before its imminent demolition. The reader, Marja Nordman, lives across the street and is finishing the restoration of a similar house.

Thanks to preservation activist David Torke, 557 will be spared for at least one more month while a search possible buyers continues. Read his post to find out the whole story.
