Queen City Roller Girls are Queens for a Day
We’re about a week late in sharing this, but for those wondering what the Queen City Roller Girls have been up to since making the cover of our December issue, we have some very cool news: May 22 was officially proclaimed as QCRG Day in North Tonawanda.
As part of the honor, the Carnegie Art Center displayed bout posters, photos, illustrations, and videos in an exhibit titled Graphic Assault. But hurry up—it’s only on view until May 29.
The day also featured the mayor’s official proclamation of QCRG Day on the front steps of the Carnegie, followed by a parade of the championship cup to the Rainbow Rink, the rink where the QCRG have practiced two nights a week for the past few years.
And then, Queen City Cup Championship was taken by the Alley Kats, who took down the Suicidal Saucies.
Cheers to the girls for another great year, and a nice honor.

Actually, the Suicidal Saucies won the QCRG Cup this year, not the Alley Kats.
Queen City Cup Championship:
Alley Kats 140 / Suicidal Saucies 142 (Final)
