Last Thursday marked the first installment of this annual bridal show, held at Hotel Lafayette. Founders Ali Eagen of Made by Anatomy and Erica Eichelkraut of City Lights Studio Photography had a meeting of the minds months ago after asking themselves why Buffalo doesn't offer a bridal event showcasing local wedding artisans. 02/28/13Spree Style: Buffalo Hates You, Too. Thanks, Vice.When Vice comes a knockin’… you answer the door. For those of you that might not know Vice, it’s a witty arts and culture magazine. Based in New York City, they have a huge international following and are known for their lack of restraint. Mind you, that’s an understatement. I was recently interviewed by Vice’s associate editor, Harry Cheadle, for their most recent fashion issue, offering up my take on the Bundle.com article that named Buffalo the “least fashionable” city in the country. It’s hard to believe the Bundle.com article, written over a year ago, is still coming back to haunt us. But I give props to Vice for taking on this topic of conversation and giving me the opportunity to go to bat for Buffalo.... |

02/21/13Spree Designer Spotlight: Mara HoffmanBuffalo native Mara Hoffman showcased her latest Fall 2013 collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York and she certainly did not disappoint. With a point of view and aesthetic that is true to this designer, vibrant patterns and colors flounced down the runway, in a collection that was unique as much as it was youthful and fun. Best known and renowned for her talent in creating bathing suit and spring collections, Hoffman rose to the occasion for fall/winter.
