Fashion commerce showing strong in Buffalo

Lately I have been conducting tireless research on boutiques in cities across the country for my wholesale design label “Once And For All” (insert shameless plug here). One of the things I have found to be most interesting is that for a city our size, comparatively, we have a lot of shopping options to choose from. Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that we are going through quite a renaissance in our fair city, and as a result, our local fashionistas have reaped the benefits from new boutiques to highly sought after big box retailers.
Another announcement this month brings news to this end; Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls USA has recently announced a new expansion, adding 175,000 square feet, 50 new stores, and renovating the interior and exterior of the property. New retailers opening later this year include; Kenneth Cole, White House Black Market, Helley Hansen, Puma, Talbots, and Steve Madden. Not to mention an expansion and renovation of my personal favorite, the Saks Off 5th outlet store. The outlet mall, located just across the Canadian border, attracts a great deal of tourist traffic and has become a mainstay for Buffalonians alike. With this new expansion, Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls USA will be one of the largest outlet malls in the country with approximately 700,000 square feet dedicated to top designer brands. As a result of the project, an estimated 500+ jobs will be added at the property. The expansion will open this fall, and serves as another clear sign of Buffalo’s exciting trajectory!
