Eye batting battles

When it comes to longer lashes, you get what you pay for. That’s what I’ve found, anyway, in my own month-long lash test between Latisse and RapidLash. Both work, I am pleased to announce, but the higher priced (about $100), prescription required Latisse lashes are longer and thicker than those I treated with OTC RapidLash (about $50). On either side, however, once I put mascara on, I look like I’ve had major eye lash extension work. So if you want to have fun with longer lashes but feel too clutzy for the fake lash scene, or simply want to be able to forget the mascara altogether without feeling like you left home without your eyes, go for it. The RapidLash has fewer reported possible side effects and is easier to swipe on each night. I’ve been told that with either solution, the lashes stay long until the lash falls out. I picked up a tube of RapidLash at Pur Skin in Lewiston (754-8285) and a Latisse prescription from the Cosmetic Vein and Laser Center in Williamsville (632-5200).  Now that I'm batting 1000, I’ll see if I can extend the length of my eyebrow.
