In a sea of business-as-usual action flicks, Robert Schwentke’s Red 
looks pretty unique. Based on a DC Comics graphic novel, it stars Bruce Willis as a former CIA agent who must reassemble his old team of cagey vets—which includes Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, and Morgan Freeman—to clear their names. As this trailer indicates, it looks to be a film that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and with this cast, it should be an above-average entry in the shoot-em-up genre. Red opens on October 15, and buffalospree.com will soon bring you a review, and perhaps even some words from the film’s stellar cast.
