Celebrity sightings and Buffalo shoots in progress
A still from the Buffalo-shot CROWN VIC
Addison Henderson returns home:
Buffalo-born writer, director, and actor Addison Henderson shot his latest feature, G.O.D., in the city during springtime.
The shape of pasta:
A sighting of Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro at Chef’s in June led to rumors that his next film would be shot here. It’s always possible, however, it could also simply mean that the Shape of Water director was in the mood for some chicken parm.
An American werewolf visits Buffalo:
Peter Vullo’s Thursday Night Terrors series teamed with Nickel City Con in May to screen An American Werewolf in London and host star David Naughton.
Markus talks Endgame:
In May, Avengers: Endgame co-screenwriter and Buffalo native Christopher Markus attended a screening of the blockbuster at the North Park and answered audience questions for two hours. That’s superhero-level dedication.
Buffalo goes big at BIFF:
October’s Buffalo International Film Festival featured a number of unique entries shot in WNY, among them The True Adventures of Wolfboy and Crown Vic.
John Wick shows the Buffalo PD some love:
With John Wick 3 and a delightful performance as himself in Netflix’s Always Be My Maybe, the year 2019 belonged to Keanu Reeves. In February, the star of the Buffalo-shot 2010 flick Henry’s Crime was spotted wearing a “Buffalo Police” hoodie. That’s got to be a highlight of the Keanu-ssance.
