Chefs Andrzejewski and Gedra to present dinner

With a limited number of seats available, it's sure to sell out. Steven and Ellen Gedra of the soon-to-open and highly anticipated Black Sheep restaurant will work alongside Mike Andrzejewski of Mike A @ Hotel Lafayette (as well as Seabar, Cantina Loco, and Tappo) to present Buffalo with a meal that showcases some very exciting dishes.

Fried lamb brains, beef tongue, sea urchin, pasta made with lobster roe, and blood risotto will all make appearances throughout the meal, and guests can expect to experience one of Ellen Gedra's mind blowing desserts. Inventive and nuanced cocktail pairings from Tony Rials will also be available for an upcharge.

"We're getting the dream team back together," says Steven Gedra, who is referring to the occasions in the past where he and chef Andrzejewski presented Buffalo with outstanding truffle-themed affairs.

With how busy both of these chefs are, it's a rare occurrence that they are able to make the time to plan and execute such an over-the-top event.

The dinner will be held at 7 p.m. on July 30 at Mike A @ Hotel Lafayette, and some of the dishes, Gedra says, may find their way onto the menu at Black Sheep, which he expects to open in 4–6 weeks.

Seats are $85 plus tax and gratuity. Tony Rials' cocktail pairings run another $45—if my experience tells me anything, you won't want to miss out on this aspect of the meal, as Rials is exceptionally capable at transforming food with his beverage selections. Reservations can be made by contacting the restaurant at 253-6453.
