BuffaloSpree.com's Recipe of the week: Louisiana Barbequed Shrimp



1/2 lb. butter

3 tsp. minced garlic

2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

1 cup chicken stock

1/4 cup beer

1 lbs. shrimp in shells



1 tsp. crushed red pepper

2 tsp. cayenne pepper

2 tsp. black pepper

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. thyme

1/4 tsp. oregano


In a small bowl combine seasoning mix ingredients. Combine 1 stick butter, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and seasoning mix in an iron skillet over high heat. When butter melts, add shrimp. Cook for 2 minutes. Add remaining butter and stock. Cook for 3 minutes. Add beer and cook until done. Serve immediately in bowls with lots of french bread; or on a platter with cooked rice in the middle and shrimp and sauce surrounding it.
