Beautiful People: Lydia Dominick

Luke Copping

Lydia Dominick is a host and on-air personality at WGRZ-TV.

What is your biggest accomplishment?

Learning to balance a TV career in the city, and still living in, and
loving the country. My parents have a farm that I can’t stay away from.
They’ve given me the strength and the option to have the best of both
worlds. I also like to see the look on people’s faces when I casually
mention livestock during professional conversations.

Are you a dog or a cat person?

I think God made me allergic to cats as a favor so I don’t have to tell
cat owners how much I dislike their pets.

What is the most beautiful place in WNY?

Anywhere sports fans assemble. Our Bills and Sabres have brought
this city through some tough times; even if they’re not winning,
somehow their losses create a camaraderie that I see as something
beautiful.

Where do you go to experience beauty?

If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, this beholder finds beauty in joy.
My daughter, Roe, my parents, and my sisters make me happy every day.

What place in WNY is in need ofbeautification?

The 500 Block of Main Street. Give us shopping! Give us
bistros! And give us pizza!
