Highlights
If you’re the parent of a young child (or two, or more), chances are that you’re doing a whole lot for others and not quite enough for yourself. So why not carve out some time for a date with your partner and head for the ultimate in relaxation—a tandem massage/acupuncture session. Plan to be at Buffalo Alternative Therapies for at least two and a half hours if you want to make the most of the date. If you can’t get away for quite that long, you can also schedule a thirty-minute massage and spend about an hour and a half. On the other hand, if you’re able to keep the babysitter just a wee bit longer, consider a luxurious ninety-minute massage, coupled with an hour of acupuncture. Three hours of bodywork will truly help you to focus on something other than a never-ending list of parenting tasks running through your head.
Your never-ending list won’t be any shorter afterwards, but you’ll both feel so relaxed that you just won’t care. And what more could harried parents of young kids ask for, really?
(Another option for this date would be a his-and-her massage. Many area spas offer this relaxing and romantic experience, including Excuria Salon and Med Spa and Blu Spa and Salon.)
