Twenty minutes outside of the city, in the picturesque little village of Lewiston, you’ll find one of the most understated and spectacular dining experiences offered in WNY. About five years ago Chef Carmelo Raimondi, taking inspiration from a train trip through Italy, reinvented his family’s restaurant. This undertaking has rendered Lewiston residents some of the luckiest in our region. Carmelo’s house-cured charcuterie, handmade pasta, and other from-scratch delicacies highlight a menu laden with fresh seasonal ingredients hand-selected by the chef from surrounding Niagara County farms. Intimate and well-appointed, without the tightly-wound decorum typically found in fine dining restaurants, Carmelo’s is the ideal date for couples celebrating an anniversary, or looking for a little luxury and romance amid the fracas and fray of family life.
