The Days That Count Desk Top Calendar by Moleskine
gadget of the month
We are almost, but not quite, at the place where Moleskine notebooks are a yuppie cliché. When that day arrives we will be glad, because then we will be the only ones with these cool pocket-sized notebooks. In the meanwhile this is a worthy addition to the line, a date book that is just the right size for a jacket pocket or purse, hard covered, thread bound with the usual Moleskine elastic closure and expandable inner pocket. In our day-job capacity as lawyers we are constantly required to keep track of court dates and such, and courts don’t allow us to bring our smartphones (or any phones, law being a profession mired in the 19th century). This one doubles as a desktop calendar, which qualifies it as a gadget—anything that does more than one thing is a gadget as far as we are concerned. It lists for $19.95, but shop around. Hyatt’s probably has it cheaper.
