Buffalo State’s Fashion and Textile Technology (FTT) Department is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its signature spring event, Runway, on April 22 at 8:00 p.m. in the Sports Arena.
Following the theme “Remember/Imagine” student designers have tapped into fashion influences from the past that will inform styles of the future. Some FTT students created their own designs; others made original prints on fabric. Approximately 150 professional models will show off the designs in a highly stylized event open to the public.
Student designers are required to submit their creations to a jury composed of industry experts a month prior to the event. Only the best are invited to participate in the juried show in which first place, second place, and student collection winners are named. Hollywood celebrity stylist and designer Ade Samuel, ’07, will serve as a guest judge.
Admission is $10.VIP passes are $100 and include a private catered reception and swag bag.
