Introduction to Quilting

Course Information 

Join us for our beginner’s course Introduction to Quilting and learn the basics with an experienced instructor. Students will be instructed in making a 4 block wall hanging.This 8 week course is for beginners wanting to learn how to quilt. Students will need a sewing machine that they are able to transport to each class, as well as know how to thread and use. For the first class students will need: a sewing machine (with cords, manual, and feet), empty bobbins, cotton sewing thread in a neutral beige, and a new sewing machine needle (Schmetz Micro-tex size 12 is recommended.) Students will receive an expanded needs list at the first class.


Natalie Masker is a long-time member of the BNHV Quilt Guild and has been quilting since the 1970s. Natalie has extensive teaching experience and is a retired AQS Quilt Appraiser.

March 24, March 31, April 7, April 28, May 5, May 12, May 19, and May 26 from 1:00 – 3:30 PM
