Lloyd's mirror is a site-specific audio-visual piece composed especially for Toshiko Mori's Greatbatch Pavilion and the Frank Lloyd Wright's Darwin D Martin house.
Both buildings contrast one another from their historical background, structure and infrastructure. The geometry balance is horizontally enhanced by the piece Lloyd's mirror. This classic experiment in optic interferometry materializes a new generative composition inspired by the horizontal aspect Frank Lloyd Wright's prairie style and Toshiko Mori's glass pavilion.
Lloyd's Mirror uses speakers and lights facing each other across the space of the Greatbatch Pavilion. Like many of Pasquet's works, the installation will evolve over time and visitors are encouraged to come back to see how it changes. Lloyd's Mirror will be available every evening from 5:30-8:30 pm, Feb. 12-17. Pasquet will be on hand to engage with visitor throughout the installation period.
