Description

Maison Le Caer, the brick and mortar location for Pastry by Camille, is a new boulangerie-pâtisserie and art space on Hertel Avenue, Buffalo that specializes in French cuisine and the display of local and international art. North Buffalo has been growing in the past decade and we’re happy to be part of the vitalization and bring to you the first French bakery and pastry shop in the area. The menu will feature items such as fresh baguettes, Joy of Life croissants, crêpes and gallettes, lemon meringue pies, seasonal tartes, chef’s favorite, a Saint Honoré, and of course, macarons. The heart of the neighborhood will be felt through collaboration with community organizations, fun events for both adults and families, and a play area for children. Students can enjoy a 15% discount every Thursday. O pen Tuesday through Thursday, 8am to 7pm, Friday and Saturday, 9am to 9pm, and Sunday, 8am-3pm.

Chef Camille Le Caër hails from Brittany, France. His passion, love and faith in food started at 13 years old when his Grandmothers began to teach him how to cook and pushed him to attend Lyceé Hôtelier of Dinard. After years in the Paris and New York City pastry worlds, including work at Hôtel Ritz Palace, Café Pouchkine, Pâtisserie Stohrer, Bagatelle, and Figues and Olives, he moved to Buffalo with his wife Alexandria, curator of Maison Le Caer, to raise a family. Their new mission, to spread joy in the Nickel City through art and pastry. Alexandria has a Master’s in Art History from Brooklyn College, and experience as a manager and curator of galleries in the Lower East Side, New York. The walls of Maison Le Caer will feature art in all media from local and international artists and organizations, and will host one group exhibition each year for emerging artists. Please send submissions to art@pastrybycamille.com.
