The Burchfield Nature & Art Center's First Annual WinterFest

The Burchfield Nature & Art Center will host their 1st Annual WinterFest to raise money for continuing their programs at the park.

WinterFest will offer free family entertainment.  WinterFest will have a Children’s tent which will feature a variety of activities. A highlight will be a performance by Mama Earth’s Kitchen Band. Mama Earth shares her instruments with the audience and engages them in fun music making with an emphasis on protecting our environment.

The owls of Messinger Woods will be on hand, and children will be able to make their own owl using pinecones. Face Painting from the West Seneca Youth group and  a visit from Buster Bison.

WinterFest will also have Horse drawn carriage rides, food vendors  and a Market Tent featuring local artists selling their work. The Western New York Woodcarvers will be demonstrating and showing their work.

The snowman building contest and bonfire are just a few of the outside activities that will celebrate the season. There is even a small hill so the  little ones can use their new tubes.

A preview will be held Friday evening from 5-9 in the gallery, and the WinterFest begins Saturday  Feb 18 from 10AM-5PM.
