Style / Press pause

As spring fashions start to deliver, a new energy arises in the industry. One of global style network WGSN’s visual directives for spring/summer 2017 is "pause."

A simple guideline that takes so much effort in the world we live in now, Pause is about “readjusting the sense of luxury, where value is not just in function, but in meaning.” Allowing ourselves to pause is a powerful tool for moving forward in the future of fashion. Style has a different meaning for everyone and, maybe, if we take the time to stop and realize what we are consuming, we might just be able to clear out all the visual noise.

This shoot was inspired by the essence of pressing pause. There’s a delicate strength and steely intimacy in these shots. Each look offers a different point of view through some incredible local jewelry artists and boutiques. These combinations of hair, makeup, and accessories come to life and enhance the many faces of our model.
