Hot 5: Buffalo Society of Artists Gallery at Artpark

When an organization makes it past the century mark, clearly, it’s a local legacy. Such is the case with the Buffalo Society of Artists, celebrating its 120th anniversary this year. First and foremost is its gallery at Artpark, which kicked off in May and runs through the summer; meanwhile, an Open Members Show will be held at the Artpark gallery from August 7 to September 10. And even more is planned for the fall. An auction of original artworks will be held on September 16 at Vern Stein Calleries in Williamsville. And the 115th Catalogue Exhibition will feature three simultaneous shows from mid-November to December at UB’s Anderson Gallery, the Carnegie Art Center in North Tonawanda, and at the Burchfield Penney.

Gallery open from 1–4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and selected main stage and weekend events at Artpark, 450 S. Fourth St., Lewiston; (905) 991-1252 or www.buffalosocietyofartists.com.
