Hot 5: June 2012 / Nardin Academy summer programs

Nardin Academy summer programs

Here’s one for the kids—nine weeks of fun at Nardin Academy. On tap for four-through-nine-year-olds is a Montessori program with each week inspired by a different children’s author. Meanwhile, one-week chess and computer/animation/video game camps will be held from July 16 to 20. The introductory-advanced week of chess, provided by USA Chess, is for five-to-fifteen-year-olds; tuition includes trophy and chess set. Two introductory-intermediate level “Video Game Creation” sessions and “Introductory Animation Creation” will be offered for eight-to-fifteen-year-olds. The latter lets kids create their own 3D animated story; for more info on this particular class, visit gamebuildercamp.com/video.htm or call 888-652-4377. Note that these programs are offered to all kids, not just Nardin attendees.

Montessori program weeks available in June are 11–15, 18–22, and 25–29; call 881-6565; chess and computer camps run from July 16–20; register for chess and computer camps at chesscamp.com.
