Best place to eat breakfast alone: Sweetness 7 Cafe

kc kratt

Packed with working people, even on the weekends, Sweet_ness 7 is a good place to plug in and chow down. If you are looking for microwaved egg substance in a bagel and a quick “double-double,” take your order elsewhere. Here on Grant Street, the egg sandwich is slammin’ and the Turkish coffee service is worth the wait. Likewise, at S_7’s newly christened Parkside location, the lemon curd crepes and a steamy cup of milky black tea will enliven your grey matter quickly. If you are like the many small business owners, community activists, and freelancers who have turned S_7 into something of a personal office, you’ll quickly realize that this joint makes the whole work-all-day/work-all-night/reading/scribing, surfing/eat-alone routine all the more bearable. And don’t worry; if you’re stopping by on the way to your corporate office, after class, or in between meetings, you’ll fit in, too; S_7 is an anything-goes kind of place.

House Specialty:
Egg sandwich on Grant; any crepe selection on Parkside.

Smartest Order:
Turkish coffee service (Grant location only).

Ambience:
College dorm meets Bohemia.
