Fiesta for the Arts

Last month, we told you about the Give for Greatness campaign, a pretty inspiring example of WNYers coming together in the face of toxic cuts. Artvoice has teamed up with M&T Bank and other partners on a two-month campaign with one major goal: to raise $1 million dollars for forty-seven cultural organizations that have been abandoned by county government. And it all comes to an end with a celebration of Cinco de Mayo on May 5 at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. What a perfect way to cap the campaign and toast the hard work done by so many.
Time TBA on Thursday, May 5, at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, 1285 Elmwood Ave.; 888-748-4925, giveforgreatness@gmail.com, or www.giveforgreatness.org.

At press time the Albright had dubbed this event as "Cino de Mayo at the Albright-Knox", since then the name has been changed to reflect the overall mission of the event.
