Balsamic Syrup

Number of Servings: makes 1/4 cup
Ingredients: 1 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (optional)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter (optional)
Directions:

Simmer the balsamic vinegar until it reduces to 1/4 cup. Stir in the salt and butter. Serve over meat, poultry, or seafood.
