Smoked Salmon Spread (From the Art of the Hors d'oeuvre, 4/06)

Number of Servings: makes 15-20 servings
Ingredients: 1 tablespoon grated onion
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
24 ounces smoked salmon
1 pound cream cheese
4 sprigs fresh dill, minced
assorted crackers or toast points
Directions:

Combine the onion, water, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce in a food processor and process until smooth. Add the smoked salmon and process for a minute or two, or until smooth. Add the cream cheese and process until smooth and fully incorporated with the other ingredients. Add the dill and pulse the processor for a few seconds, just until mixed. Serve in a bowl or on a platter as a spread/dip for the crackers and toast points, or using a pastry bag pipe the spread onto the crackers as a simple canape.
