February 14

Here’s one of the best reasons to look forward to mid-February. This annual amateur tournament has grown so popular that scores of potential teams now get turned away. For the past few years, the friendly competition has found an ideal home at Riverworks’ spectator-savvy facility in the shadow of the Blue-draped grain elevators. The weekend now includes a skills competition, battle of the bands, Labatt Blue silo tower tours, and a new vendor village, as well as three full days of pond hockey action starting on February 15.
