From the Editor On page 160 of this issue, you’ll find a reader’s poll for our 2006 Best of Western New York issue, to be published in the May/June Spree. Please fill it out and send it in! We’ve tried to make the poll as inclusive and wide-ranging as possible, using the broad headings of Food/Drink, Arts/Culture, Sports/Life Outdoors, Retail/Services, and WNY Culture/Politics. There are so many great things about our region that we narrowed the field down to 200 categories with some difficulty. The winners will be determined through a combination of this poll and the decisions of our judges, who have been chosen from Spree writers and community experts. We will also be offering this poll via our website, www.buffalospree.com, and blog, spreeblog.com, so pass the word along to your friends, neighbors, and relatives who do not subscribe. (Though wouldn’t a subscription be a great gift idea for them?) If you send in a completed form, you are automatically entered in a drawing to win $300 worth of gift certificates from Buffalo Spree. We will also be offering $200 worth to the best “write-in” category. In May, Spree will publish all the winners, as well as hold a gala “Best of” party at Shea’s.
