From the Editor We always love the opportunity to do another garden issue. We collect photography for it every summer, to be sure we have enough images to get people inspired about getting back outside. Inspiration is in good supply in Western New York these days. In recent issues, we have reported on the boom of new apartment buildings and other residential structures currently going up in downtown Buffalo, as well as a new building for the Burchfield-Penney Art Center. This issue, we discuss the plans for a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed boathouse, and congratulate some garden activists on their neighborhood improvements. We’ve even got some inspirational words from our new mayor, as we begin what will be a series of updates on Buffalo’s economic recovery in the City section.
