It’s finally spring, and that means a new and improved WNY Media Network. Well, I’ve heard rumors about it, at least. I know they have a new world headquarters in Allentown and there’s lots of excitement about online radio and podcasts and blogs, blogs, and more blogs. Hey, did you know they have a lot of blogs over there at WNYMedia.net?

Here are some blogs (some WNYMedia.net-affiliated, and some not) around town that have lots to say, about lots of stuff:

• Are you dying to know the lowdown on politics in Hamburg? For the scoop, make sure to check out Hamburg First (hamburgfirst.speakupwny.com)

• Jennimi has finally stepped into the twenty-first century and bought herself a cell phone. Find out if she has mastered the art of texting at www.Jennimi.com.

• Need some reading glasses? Do you steer towards the “large print” section at the library? If so, The Buffalo Bloviator is the blog for you. All posts at www.buffalobloviator.wnymedia.net are in enormous, 18 pt Arial font, which is nice and easy on the eyes. If you’re legally blind.

• Lauren will be off the market soon. She’s finished with pre-cana, menu planning and is in the final stages of wedding dress fittings at Elly in the City (www.ellyinthecity.wnymedia.net). Next she’ll be taking those sexy pictures of herself off the blog.

Elegantly Wasted (www.emilieriester.blogspot.com) is all about fun. Drinks, and trips, and concerts. That used to be me. Now I’m old and tired, and definitely not bitter.

• The boys over at Bfloblog.com are all about the Bills, Sabres, and maybe even the Bisons. Kevin and Mark must have the highest traffic of all the WNY blogs. You have to read some of the hilarious comments from their readers in the open threads on the blog, during one of the games.

• Derek and Amanda are into geocaching, and will tell you what they’ve found hidden right here in Western New York at www.punaro.com.

• Reporting on new music (the Shins, Lou Barlow) and the misadventures of her kids (Henry, Lucy) is Emily, at www.whatwentwrongnow.blogspot.com.
