![]() Buffalo blog party By Jennifer Wutz-Lopes
When writing this column, I am usually kind of snarky and sarcastic, and like to bust the chops of all the bloggers out there in Western New York. I really do it in jest, and feel honored to be a part of the Buffalo-area blogging community. We are an interesting and diverse group of people, writing about politics, Buffalo events, food, or nothing at all (that would be me). The holidays are almost here, and I am really looking forward to the Buffalo Bloggers’ Christmas party (date and place TBA). If you’re a blogger in WNY, we hope to see you there. Especially all you bitter e-strip.org people.
whom I have not made fun of in a while: • Michael, over at Beefy Cat Angus, claims to love ironing and figure skating. So incredibly lame, but he’s slightly redeemed due to the fact that he also loves the bands Deee-Lite and Squeeze. Read more about Michael and his (beefy) cat Angus at www.beefycatangus76.blogspot.com. • Since it’s kind of past prime gardening season, I am wondering what Elizabeth at Gardening While Intoxicated will be doing all winter. Poring over pornographic bulb catalogs and drinking her weight in red wine? Planning a new springtime pond addition with which to torture her poor husband? See for yourself at www.allentowngardener.com. • Esther, blogger at Phoeby and Her Friends (www.phoeby.blogspot.com) thinks she’s kick-ass because she gets carded at Sabres games. Well, I am jealous of her, and her lack of wrinkles, and her refrigerator repair mad skillz. • Bitch, bitch, bitch. Migraines, spilled coffee grounds, no new Yo Gabba Gabba episodes, etc. This is not What Went Wrong (www.whatwentwrongnow.blogspot.com) by my friend Emily ... this is my life. All she has to do is add a few expletive-laden posts about the Buffalo-to-Philadelphia corridor on USAir and we’ll be all set. • Once, just once, I want the guys at BfloBlog.com to post a recipe or a how-to craft on their blog. Maybe a knitting project. I read them everyday, and 20,000 sports-related posts later, I am still waiting. • Now that the Buffalo Pundit is running for public office, he has cleaned up his blog. A lot. He never makes fun of anyone anymore, and I miss his fabulous use of the f-word. Keep a lookout for a possible return to normalcy at www.buffalopundit.wnymedia.net. Jennifer Wutz-Lopes can dish it out, but cannot take it. She lives in Lockport with her husband and son and blogs at Jen14221.com. Back to the Table of Contents Back to Top |
