More bloggers to love

It’s another new year, and once again time for reflection on the year past. Some people look back at their triumphs and mistakes and make resolutions, promises to themselves about their behavior in the future. My resolutions? Lose weight, stop buying handbags, refrain from using profanity around my kid, be nicer to my husband, and have more fun. That includes hanging out with these Buffalo Bloggers:

• Kate, at Oh For Fun!, plays the viola, knits, likes hockey and occasional bar-hopping down in Allentown. See what she’s up to in the New Year at www.ohforfun.typepad.com. Perhaps grabbing a drink at Brick Bar with Jen14221? Maybe.

• Ethan blogs about beer at Beer-o-Vision (www.beerovision.wnymedia.net). Well, food and beer. And then more beer. Do you need more reasons why we should be friends? Ethan, call me!

• Scott makes kick-ass barbeque (so I’ve been told) and he rescues stray cats. Put that together with the fact that he and his wife have a new baby, and I so want to hang out. What could be better than eating brisket and snuggling with a baby girl? I’ll be checking his blog Brisket for Chucklehead (www.brisketforchucklehead.blogspot.com) for my invite. Which should be coming soon.

• Derek at The Start of Something (www.derekneuland.blogspot.com) is a student here in Buffalo, new to the blogging scene. He likes to read and is a vegan. After he’s all healed up from his recent emergency appendectomy, maybe I’ll see him at Scott’s get-together, although he won’t be eating the brisket. Cool—more for me!

• Jan (jannygirl.livejournal.com) is a massage therapist. I need more massage therapist friends. ’Nuff said.

• Michele, a local advocate for housing issues and coproducer of the documentary Flipped, is the blogmistress of News From A Broad, which is the best blog name. Ever. Read it at www.newsfromabroad.wnymedia.net.

• Cecilia blogs about silly things—a loooooong story about her new car, how much she loves her baby nieces and nephew, and getting her hair cut right next to Steve Barnes, of Cellino and Barnes fame. Check out The Middle Child at www.ceciliaissogreat.blogspot.com.

Jennifer Wutz-Lopes will probably never stop buying handbags. She needs a massage. She lives in Lockport with her husband and son and blogs at Jen14221.com.
