Shea’s Performing Arts Center and the Buffalo Police Department

For nearly a decade, Arts Services Inc. has been supporting local arts organizations and individual artists with direct grants, information on opportunities, advocacy, workshops, and more. ASI’s eighth annual awards program takes place May 26—virtually, of course—and includes some interesting categories and awards, including Unsung Hero, which goes to Joan Fishburn, who has been with the Amherst Symphony Orchestra for more than fifty years; and the unlikely combo of Shea’s Performing Arts Center and the Buffalo Police Department, which wins Arts Integration for Body Language Competency Training for BPD recruits.
