The Nutcracker

A holiday spectacle makes a welcome return as Neglia Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker takes the stage at Shea’s Performing Arts Center on Thanksgiving weekend. The production features the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and includes four dancers from American Ballet Theatre: Zimmi Coker as Sugar Plum Fairy and grown-up Marie,

João Menegussi as the Cavalier, and Virginia Lensi and Roman Zhurbin performing the Arabian Pas de Deux. Neglia Ballet alumni in the show include Ava Blumberg, Rorey Fraser, Morgan Brown, and Ben Reading, all returning to the stage in adult roles. Eighty-five children's roles are performed by students from local dance schools. Visit sheas.org for tickets.
