The National Science Foundation has awarded the University at Buffalo a $20 million grant to create the AI Institute for Exceptional Education. The Institute, which is expected to be completed in five years, will develop artificial intelligence systems to assist children with speech and/or language processing challenges that put them at increased risk of falling behind in academic and socio-emotional development.
